Compact and Versatile Benchtop RF Shield Box
The Tescom TC-5922BU RF Shield Box is a compact and versatile solution designed for desktop and benchtop testing. It saves space while still supporting small to medium-sized devices. As a result, it fits well in both engineering labs and production environments.
In addition, the ergonomic lid design allows smooth and repeatable operation. This makes frequent testing easier and more efficient. Moreover, the enclosure requires minimal maintenance due to its user-friendly design.
Flexible Rear I/O Configuration
One key advantage of the TC-5922BU RF Shield Box is its custom-configurable rear I/O plate. This plate is also field replaceable. Therefore, you can adapt the enclosure as testing needs change.
Because the I/O plate can be changed on site, downtime is reduced. You no longer need to ship the enclosure back for updates. As a result, time-sensitive testing schedules stay on track. This flexibility helps move products faster from design to production.
Designed for OTA Testing Accuracy
For reliable Over-the-Air (OTA) testing, the TC-5922BU performs best when paired with an antenna coupler. When installed in a Universal Grid Test Fixture, this setup delivers consistent and repeatable results.
Additionally, the high-performance absorber inside the enclosure reduces reflections. This improves measurement stability. Consequently, engineers gain more confidence in test accuracy and device performance.
Efficient Testing with Minimal Downtime
Overall, the Tescom TC-5922BU RF Shield Box combines space efficiency, ease of use, and flexibility. Its field-replaceable I/O plate helps eliminate unnecessary delays. Meanwhile, the ergonomic design supports high-throughput testing.
When combined with antenna couplers and a universal grid fixture, the enclosure becomes a complete OTA testing solution. Therefore, teams can focus on results instead of setup challenges.
Typical RF Shielding
TC-5922BU Shield Box Typical RF Shielding
The shielding effectiveness below is measured when the blank panel is mounted; other I/O interface panel results a different shielding effectiveness of the shield box.
| Frequency |
Shielding effectiveness (dB) |
| .1 to 3 GHz |
> 70 dB |
| 3 GHz to 6 GHz |
> 60 dB |
| 6 GHz to 12 GHz |
> 60 dB |
- Each shielding effectiveness is measured when each I/O interface panel, which is shown above, is mounted.
- Above data was measured by Tescom, The Shielding Effectiveness might be different based on the measuring method and condition.
- This data has been measured under the condition that the cables are not connected to each filters. When the cables are connected it can affect the shielding performance.
