TC-93061A Antenna Coupler

The TC-93061A is an Antenna Coupler most commonly used for testing up to 5.8 GHz.  TC93061A Antenna Coupler uses RHCP which is ideal for testing GPS devices. This unique antenna coupler offers the benefit of one of the smaller standard inductive couplers but the advantage of being able to place this coupler separated at a greater distance from the DUT antenna, allowing you to test the complete wireless assembly including the antenna.

Description

TC-93061A Antenna Coupler for GPS Testing up to 5.8 GHz

The TC-93061A Antenna Coupler supports reliable wireless testing up to 5.8 GHz. Engineers commonly use this antenna coupler for GPS and GNSS device testing in controlled RF environments. It helps teams achieve accurate, repeatable radiated test results during development, validation, and production.

This antenna coupler uses Right Hand Circular Polarization (RHCP), which matches GPS signal characteristics. Because GPS systems transmit RHCP signals, this design improves signal alignment and test accuracy. As a result, engineers can trust the data collected during GPS and GNSS testing.

Designed for Real-World Device Testing

Unlike standard inductive couplers, the TC-93061A allows greater spacing between the coupler and the device under test. This spacing makes it possible to test the entire wireless device assembly, including the antenna. Consequently, engineers gain better insight into how the device performs in real-world conditions.

The compact design also helps save space inside the test enclosure. Even with its small footprint, the antenna coupler delivers stable and consistent RF performance across repeated test cycles.

Installation Inside RF Shield Boxes

Users install the antenna coupler using a mounting fixture. They attach it to the ceiling of compatible RF shield boxes such as the TC-5972D RF Shield Box or the TC-5970D RF Shield Box. This mounting position helps maintain consistent orientation and repeatable results during testing.
