Perfect for stable and superior performance used in our RF Shield Box’s, ensuring reliable near-field electromagnetic field testing for your DUT.  The antenna is specifically designed to be used in performing OTA testing within confined space, such as faraday cages.  It is right hand circularly polarized so you can perform GPS testing as well.

Description

The TC-93160A Spiral Antenna Coupler most commonly used for testing up to 12 GHz.  The Antenna Coupler uses RHCP which is ideal for testing various wireless devices, including GPS or GNSS devices.  The TC-93160A Spiral Antenna coupler offers the benefit of the smaller standard inductive couplers but the advantage of being able to place this coupler separated at a greater distance from the DUT antenna, allowing you to test the entire wireless device assembly including the antenna.  This antenna coupler offers you best performance for repeatability for testing your DUT in a near field environment while simulating the far field. Install the Antenna Coupler using a mounting fixture and attach it to the ceiling of the faraday cage for testing your wireless devices. For GPS/GNSS testing, you might also want to consider the TC93061 Antenna Coupler as it is ideal for GPS testing applications.

RHCP antennas are known in full as Right Hand Circular Polarized antennas. LHCP antennas are known in full as Left Hand Circular Polarized antennas. Sometimes, they are both known simply as Circular Polarized (CP) antennas. Due to its polarized nature, this type of antenna will reduce any radio interference by a process known as multipathing. This blocks out unwanted radio signals and can give a much cleaner signal, making it especially useful in performing radiated testing within a RF Shield Box or better known as a faraday cage.
