Description

The STE2902C RF Shielded Test Enclosure meets the needs of manufacturers who require a dual RF test system in a fully self-contained, standalone package. Many teams needed a solution for benchtop and field environments where standard 19-inch rack cabinets are unavailable. As a result, this enclosure delivers portability without sacrificing RF isolation or performance.

To achieve this, we took the highly popular STE2902 dual WLAN test enclosure and integrated it into a rugged, high-impact shock-mounted road case. This design transforms a rack-based system into a portable RF testing platform while maintaining consistent and repeatable test conditions.

Portable Dual RF Testing with Reliable Isolation

The STE2902C RF Shielded Test Enclosure allows engineers to test multiple wireless devices at the same time while maintaining isolation between test chambers. Consequently, devices remain protected from external RF interference and unintended cross-communication. This controlled environment supports accurate testing of Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and other wireless technologies in both temporary and mobile setups.

Rugged Road Case for Transport and Field Use

To support frequent transport, the enclosure uses a shock-mounted road case that protects the system during shipping and field deployment. In addition, special rear-mount supports strengthen the enclosure to withstand vibration, impact, and repeated road use. Together, these features ensure long-term durability in demanding environments.

As an added benefit, the shock cases feature keyed top and bottom surfaces. Therefore, teams can securely stack and lock multiple units during storage or deployment. Despite its rugged construction, the enclosure maintains a compact form factor and measures approximately 19.2 inches high, making it easy to transport and position in tight spaces.
