STE2200 RF Shield Test Enclosure

SKU: STE2200 Categories: , ,

Description

The STE2200 Portable Test Box is designed to provide a highly shielded RF environment for testing cell phones, PCS, GSM, and other small communication devices. As a result, engineers can perform accurate and repeatable wireless testing in both laboratory and production environments.

Evolved from its larger counterpart, the STE3000B, the STE2200 Portable Test Box maintains the same precision-machined tolerances and shielding performance. In particular, it delivers exceptional RF isolation while offering a more compact and portable form factor. Therefore, it is well suited for teams highlighting flexibility without sacrificing shielding integrity.

STE2200 Portable Test Box for Reliable RF Isolation

The STE2200 uses heavy-duty .090 and .125 aluminum throughout its construction. Additionally, double-lip woven Monel flexible gaskets seal all joint locations, ensuring a consistently RF-tight enclosure. As a result, the test box maintains reliable shielding performance across repeated open-and-close cycles.

Oversized hinges and robust latches apply uniform pressure around the enclosure. Consequently, the STE2200 Portable Test Box achieves a physically tight and repeatable seal every time it is closed. Moreover, this mechanical stability supports long-term use in demanding test environments.

Shielding Performance and Interior Absorption

RF absorbent foam lines the interior of the enclosure to suppress internal reflections. Therefore, the test environment remains stable and free from unwanted signal bounce. In practice, this design provides a typical RF attenuation of -90 dB at 3 GHz, making it ideal for 2.4 GHz testing and other wireless applications.

Features and Configuration Options

  • Additionally, supports high RF attenuation for wireless testing

  • Furthermore, constructed with rugged aluminum for durability

  • Moreover, includes woven Monel gaskets for reliable RF sealing

  • As a result, delivers repeatable and controlled test conditions

  • Finally, offers configurable input/output connections to match test requirements

Applications in Wireless Device Testing

The STE2200 Portable Test Box is commonly used for cell phone testing, wireless module validation, antenna evaluation, and production-level RF measurements. For example, engineers rely on it when verifying device performance without external RF interference.

Ultimately, the STE2200 Portable Test Box provides a compact, rugged, and highly effective shielding solution. As a result, teams gain confidence in their test data while maintaining efficiency and portability across RF testing workflows.
