Introducing the New TESCOM TC5915AU RF Shield Box, an upgraded version of the popular TC-5915A. The latest DU iteration now offers robust RF shielding capabilities up to 12GHz. It preserves the core functionalities that the testing industry has come to cherish in the TC5915AU RF Shield Box while enhancing its shielding performance to meet the growing demands of higher-frequency testing in wireless technology.
Designed with OTA (Over-the-Air) testing in mind, this Faraday cage boasts interior walls lined with highly absorbent RF Absorber, complemented by a layer of ferrite absorber. This strategic design minimizes reflections, ensuring optimal conditions for conducting OTA tests. To create the ultimate OTA testing solution for your handheld Device-Under-Test (DUT), simply add one of our grid fixtures and antenna couplers to the TC-5915AU RF Shield Box.
But what exactly is OTA testing, and how is it carried out? To execute an OTA test, you must place the DUT within a test chamber, such as our TC5915AU RF Shield Box. This chamber serves the critical function of isolating the DUT from external interference.
Numerous factors can influence the reliability and performance of OTA testing. These factors include reflections that lead to multipath conditions and interference stemming from the surrounding environment. To counter these challenges, we’ve incorporated RF absorber into the interior walls of the shield box. This RF absorber plays a pivotal role in mitigating reflections and, in tandem with the shield box, ensures a pristine testing environment for your DUT.
